Strawberry Picker in Saarijärvi, Central Finland

We are looking for hardworking seasonal workers for open-field strawberry picking on a small strawberry and beef cattle farm in Saarijärvi, Central Finland, for the harvest season in July 2026. The farm produces clean and delicious berries, and you will get to enjoy an authentic rural atmosphere surrounded by animals.

The strawberry season is expected to begin in early July and continue until the end of July. The length of the workdays varies depending on the stage of the harvest season and weather conditions, averaging around 6–7 hours per day. In addition to picking strawberries, the work may also include packing berries.

To ensure smooth communication within the team, you should speak either Finnish or English well enough to manage everyday work situations. The harvest season is an intensive period where teamwork is essential and everyone helps each other.

You do not need previous experience working with berries, but it is considered an advantage if you have done similar work before or if agriculture is familiar to you in some way. Strawberry picking is physically active work that requires accuracy and constant movement. You are likely to do well in this role if you are physically fit and have nimble fingers.

We follow the Collective Agreement for Rural Industries regarding salary and employment terms. During the main harvest season, we pay piece-rate wages if the required picking speed is met. We can also assist with arranging accommodation in the nearby area if needed.
