Egentliga Finland or Southwest Finland, together with its major city - Turku, plays an important historical role in Finnish national identity and history. The region houses Europe’s largest archipelago - the Archipelago Sea and and Kurjenrahka National Park.
Varsinais-Suomi is a major agricultural area that produces a substantial number of raw materials for the country’s food industry, especially in terms of grain growing, open field farming, poultry, and pig farming, rapes oil, and sugar beet production.
