Etelä-Savo
Also known as Södra Savolax or Southern Savonia is a beautiful heart of Finnish Lakeland and an important center of Finnish agricultural production. The capital of the region is located in the city of Mikkeli.
The province supplies country with a great variety of raw materials for the food industry such as milk, meat, vegetables, berries, grains, spices, and eggs. Etelä-Savo plays a key role in the production of asparagus, Chinese cabbage, crispy lettuce, organic carrots, and onions.
