Note that most of our recruitment notices are open to applicants who speak Finnish. If you can’t speak Finnish apply for only jobs which are published in English. Recruitment notice is mentioned what kind of language skills are needed to manage the job.
If an applicant repeatedly applies for positions for which he/she cannot be selected due to, for example, insufficient language skills, we will remove the applicant from the system without warning. We also remove from the system applicants who apply for all open positions.
-
The job advertisement for an open position is always written in the language whose skills are required to work in the position. Most of the open positions require Finnish language skills. The positions where you can work in English are published on the English section of the career website. We receive a huge number of applications from abroad! We have to remove from the system applications that do not meet the language skills requirements of the open position.

We are notifying our applicants of the recruitment process via our recruitment system, by email or phone. The applicant is always informed about the process and when his or her application has been made available to the employer. Sometimes the applicant's email address is incorrect or the mailbox is full, which means that the answers do not go through.
The company representative decides how they contact the applicants.

In principle, we are open for applicants from different countries. Recruiting depends on your work experience, language skills, requirements of the job and other conditions (like work permit and visa).
Note that our customer decides who they want to hire and what are the requirements. Most employers are looking for employees within the EU/EEA.
According to laws in Finland, employers must primarily hire personnel either from Finland or from the EU/EEA area. If there are no suitable personnel, it is possible to expand recruitment to third countries as well.
-
You can find information about work permits here: https://migri.fi/en/home.
Note that the work permit process is uncertain, expensive and long-lasting. Despite the process, the administration may not issue a work permit.
If we will guide the employee on residence permit-related matters, housing, and relocation, is that mentioned in the recruitment notice. We will discuss the matter personally with the applicant when it's relevant.
-
Neither we nor an employer in general sponsor a work permit. Getting a work permit in abroad might be in some cases difficult and expensive and it’s not profitable for all the candidates to do. Employers are mostly looking for potential workers whose permit and travelling to Finland are doable or they are already in Finland or EU-citizens and have experience on working in similar circumstances like in Finland (weather, culture etc.). If an employer will sponsor work permit we will sure inform that in recruitment notice.

Please take a notice that no payment is required for arranging the job in Finland. No person or company should require you to pay any fees at any time, also not after you return home. Your only fees are application fee for the work permit or visa, charges to related documents and ticket for your trip to Finland. This is to prevent labour exploitation, and no responsible company charges jobseekers for a job.
