Pohjois-Pohjanmaa or Norra Österbotten, or North Ostrobothnia is the second largest province in Finland with its major city - Oulu. The region spreads from the Gulf of Bothnia to the east and borders Russia.
Pohjois-Pohjanmaa is a nationally important center of beef and dairy production and the cultivation of seed potatoes. The region is the heart of the country's fur production and reindeer herding, forestry, and berry picking.
